This role is senior level position for someone that has a background in OFE (Owner Furnished Equipment) - Power Plant construction.
Salary range is up to 180K, plus bonus, insurance paid 100% for family, on-site daily. Arlington, VA. Will re-locate someone for the role.
Contract management, negotiations, Large scale project (+$1B) experience is preferred in construction, oil and gas, mining, or power generation sector. Experience in LNG highly preferred.
Example of large systems project : Buying a power plant system that generates enough power for the liquefaction process, or buying liquefaction train systems for the actual LNG process; these contracts (each) for these systems can be valued at half to over a billion dollars
- The following type of background is ideal: Power plant production Background on execution of complex projects requiring skills in Projects Management, International Contracts Management, Financial Controls, Contracts Negotiation, Supply Chain and logistics.
- Working in different countries will allow someone the ability to develop and work in diverse cultural environments and with co-located teams
- Assigned to Contract management team, which purchases long lead, large scale equipment, and oversee the delivery, handover, and installation
- Contribute to the overall leadership and commitment to OFE contract management performance.
- Participate and lead certain contractual negotiations with key internal stakeholders.
- Review and consolidate all contractual documentation prior to its review and approval by stakeholders.
- Support the development of standards, controls, policies, procedures and vendor performance metrics.
- Maintain timely awareness of contract measurement and performance requirements against baseline; analyzing and communicating potential changes; recommending corrective actions to stakeholder’s post award through closeout.
- Attend meetings with vendors, identify, and communicate any potential claim risks.
- Support the change management process and ensure impacts are incorporated into cost and schedule forecasts.
- Control and coordinate communication to and from Venture Global and external parties by drafting formal communications in accordance with contract provisions.
- Prepare regular and timely progress reports relating to contract status, and performance by vendors for circulation to executive management and other stakeholders highlighting any issues, and potential risks.
- Review contractor monthly reports and assess compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure the capture of project close-out information, including lessons learned to improve contract management requirements and templates for future contracts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, law or related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years supply chain experience, preferably in an Owner’s team environment managing and executing full contract lifecycle activities.
- Large scale project (+$1B) experience is preferred in construction, oil and gas, mining, or power generation sector. Experience in LNG highly preferred.
